With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Vicki Held Burns (Roswell, Georgia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 24, 2025 at the age of 79. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Vicki Held Burns to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her son Aaron Cowan Burns; her husband Collis Lamar Burns, Jr.; her parents, Elizabeth Held and Herbert Held; and her stepfather Col. Charles H. Swift.
She is survived by: her brother Gene Held; her sister-in-law Jenny Anderson; her daughter Kelly; her son-in-law Wade Kruse; her grandchildren, Reagan, Aaron and Lane; her son Zachary Burns; and her grandchildren, Grayson, Leila and Carter.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the Piper Glen Country Club.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Aaron Burns Memorial Scholarship at Appalachian State University (Attn: Advancement Services; PO Box 32014, Boone, NC 28608).
