He was predeceased by: his parents, Alice Helen Doherty and Robert J. O'Connor; and his daughter Cathy. He is survived by: his wife Venita; his siblings, David and Linda; his children, Bobby, Tony (Ashley), Kevin (Kim) and Stephanie (Gary); and his son-in-law Alex. He is also survived by his 12 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, extended family and many friends.

He was involved with and attended church at St. Brigid Catholic Church in Johns Creek until the pandemic and then they enjoyed mass online weekly from the Catholic Shrine, downtown Atlanta.
