He is survived by: his wife Kay Fonville Clifton of Roswell, GA; his children, Amanda Rose Clifton of Cumming, GA, Robert Ingram Clifton, Jr. (Janet) of Birmingham, AL and John David Clifton of Roswell, GA; his grandchildren, Justin Spancake (Mason), Sarah Spancake, Robert Clifton, III, Andrew Clifton, William Clifton, Bryce Ryman (Amalia), Andrew Ryman and Davis Ryman (Angeline); his great grandchildren, Jackson Sayer, Kamden Williams, Anne Campbell Spancake and Henry Ryman; and his siblings-in-law, John Coble Fonville (Nancy) of Greensboro, NC and Sarah F. Mills (Henry) of Charlotte, NC. He is also survived by five nieces and nephews and numerous cousins.
