He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Louise (Schoo) and Carmen R. Sarge; his wife Mary; and his siblings-in-law, Malvern Connett, Lawrence Kolkmeier, James Kolkmeier (Eileen), Ruth Kolkmeier and Marilyn Kolkmeier.
He is survived by: his children, Andy Sarge (Angie) of Anderson, SC, Shelly McArthur (Jack) of Roswell, GA, Colleen Gallagher (Ed) of Cumming, GA, Jenny Spencer (Jim) of Alpharetta, GA, David Sarge (Shannon) of Cumming, GA and Brian Sarge of Roswell, GA; his siblings, Merilou Connett of Taylor Mill, KY and Carmen Sarge (Maureen) of Fort Thomas, KY; and his brothers-in-law, Raymond Kolkmeier (Sue) of Cincinnati, OH and Paul Kolkmeier (Jane) of Independence, KY. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Saint Jude's Hospital.
