She is survived by: her husband Joseph Rieser; her daughters, Carlyn Kappy (Matt) and Shannon Dunn; her grandchildren, McKenzie, Reagan Kappy, Addie and Joey Dunn; and her siblings, Robert Smith, Nancy Stafford and Teri Lammert.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in memory of Maureen to Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University.
