It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kate Orr Messer of Roswell, Georgia, born in Washington, Georgia, who passed away on September 29, 2023, at the age of 56, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Webster Thaxton and Josephine Marie Wilson Orr. She is survived by: her husband Clayton Messer of Roswell, GA; her siblings, Marie O. Tyler (Steve) of Snellville, GA and Keeve Orr (Andria Maruca-Orr) of Dacula, GA; her niece Melissa Tyler; her nephews, Jonathan Orr and Andrew Tyler; her great-nephews, Logan Orr and Eli Orr; and her great-niece Lizzie Orr.

The family asks that any contributions be made to the Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery Fund or to the Washington Historical Society.
