He was predeceased by: his parents, Juana Maillo of Liatis and Teófilo Manuel Liatis. He is survived by: his wife Inés; his children, Alexis, Andrea, Maria and Hernán; and his grandchildren, Michael, Eva Ruth, Oliver and Austin.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Jorge's memory to American Cancer Society.
