He was predeceased by: his stepfather Jack; his mother Barbara Hines; and his brother David Hines. He is survived by: his wife Judith Balter Hines; his daughters, Pamela J. Willis (Matt) and Erika H. Bagwell; and his grandchildren, Joshua R. Willis (Morgan), Luke A. Willis, Isabel W. Meshanko (Jon) and Reed E. Bagwell.
