With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ivan Dale Butgereit (Roswell, Georgia), who passed away on July 23, 2023 at the age of 88. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ivan Dale Butgereit to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Butgereit and Lottie Gabel Butgereit; his parents-in-law, Dr. Pat and Alice Falletta; his siblings, Roy Butgereit and Charlotte Owens; his brother-in-law Joe Owens; and his children-in-law, Fran Wingate Butgereit and Frank Harris Price Jr..

He is survived by: his wife Mary Alice Falletta Butgereit (Kiki); his children, Elizabeth Butgereit Price, John Eric Butgereit (Meg Reggie), James Andrew Butgereit (Leigh), Joseph Edward Butgereit and Anne Butgereit McCullough (Ted); his sister-in-law Elsie Arnold Butgereit; his grandchildren, Jack Coniston Price, Eric Michael Butgereit (Erin), Christopher Taylor Butgereit, Brent Wingate Butgereit (Tristan), Samuel Thomas Butgereit, Elizabeth Marie Butgereit, Patrick Joseph Butgereit, Ashleigh Elizabeth Butgereit Harlow (John), Robert Andrew Butgereit, Mary Catherine Butgereit Matthewson (Jonathan), Elisabeth Carinna Butgereit Hidle (Troy), John Douglas Butgereit, Mary Kathryn McCullough and Griffin James McCullough; his stepgrandchildren, Katherine Alicia Reggie Werner (Matthew) and Denis Andrew Reggie Jr.; and his grandchild Auburn. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren.

He also drove a courtesy cart around the campus of St Joseph's Hospital for 20 years, stopping when the pandemic started.

“Dear Kiki, and Family, Sherry, Carl and Ann and I were so sorry to hear of Ivan's passing. His most interesting obituary was one that will carry memories of his accomplishments, community service, and most of all devotion to family and will be a comfort to read in the days ahead. I will miss not seeing him wherever our family gets together. Sherry and I will honor his memory and pay our respects by a donation to the Mercy Care Foundation as requested.
