He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralston Edmiston and Pauline Greer Edmiston; his daughter Pamela Alexander; his grandson Michael Alexander; and his stepson Marcus Coney.
He is survived by: his wife Diretha Edmiston; his children, Catherine Brown, Toni Rapley and Herman Edmiston, Jr.; his stepson Daniel Conley; his grandchildren, Chase Edmiston, Andre Edmiston, DaCarla Couvillion, DaLysa Couvillion, Porche Aguilar, Imani Tucker, Marcha Coney, Aniya Coney and Alayah Fox; and his nieces, Willa Porter and Rev. Regina Taylor. He is also survived by 16 great grandchildren; one step-great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home (508 W College St, Murfreesboro, TN 37130). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
