He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward L. Sanker and Mary Sanker (Golick); and his stepmother Jenny Sanker (Zak). He is survived by: his wife Ginny Sanker; his children, Jason Sanker and Julie Woodall; his sister Beverly Benko; his brother-in-law John Benko; his children-in-law, Kelly Sanker and Christopher Woodall; and his grandsons, Bradley Sanker, Matthew Sanker, Ben Sanker and Andrew Woodall.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Edward Sanker.
