He was predeceased by: his parents, Maurice Lacy Stapp and Bernice Emaline Gray (Reeser); and his brothers, Larry Stapp and William Kohler. He is survived by: his wife Louise Jo Stapp (Maier); his children, Kristine Abbate (Sal) of Alpharetta, GA and Joseph Stapp (Jennifer) of Aurora, IL.; his grandchildren, Olivia Abbate, Andrew Abbate, Riley Stapp, Justin Stapp and Sydney Stapp; and his sister Linda Wiist (Lance).
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Northside Chapel Funeral Directors & Crematory (12050 Crabapple Rd, Roswell, GA 30075). A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 at 2:30 PM at the Georgia National Cemetery.
Memorials may be directed to The First Baptist Church of Alpharetta, Georgia and/or Prince Avenue Baptist Church of Bishop, Georgia.
