She was predeceased by: her parents, Philip N. Peacock and Barbara Norman Peacock (David); and her sisters, Mary Lucy Shelton, Norma Peacock and Phyllis Peacock Miller.
She is survived by: her friend Georgia; her husband Richard Korteling; her children, Karen Korteling of Palatine and David Korteling (Barbara) of Washington, D. C; her grandchildren, Ray Rothschild and Sawyer Rothschild; and her siblings, Kathryn Loan, Nancy Bluett (Howard) and William Peacock (Judy). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made in Barbara's name to the American Heart Association to support stroke research.
