He is survived by: his wife Shirley Scott Mitchell; his sons, Steve (Jennifer Mitchell) of Hiram and Terry Shane (Marita Mitchell); his grandchildren, Jessica, Zachary, Jonathan, Andre and Nicholas; and his great grandchildren, Peyton, Chandler and Crew.
