The memory of William J. Cooke of Rossville, Georgia, who passed away on November 8, 2024 at the age of 87, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Jean Cooke; his son Donald Cooke; his parents, John D Cooke and Gladys E Cooke; and his sisters, Gail Hoge and Ann Stoker Sheppard.
He is survived by: his children, Dr. William J Cooke, Jr., Deborah Jean Cooke Raines (Kenny), Robert Wayne Cooke (Lori) and Lisa Darlene Cooke Clark (Steve); his grandchildren, Ronwyn Marie Raines (Wendy), Elisha Nicole Raines Maxwell, Courtney Clark Grice, Shelly Clark Osburn, Austin Miller (Kathryn) and Hailey Bent (Dale); and his siblings, Jack Cooke (Pete), Linda Powell and Dan Cooke (Kay). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the W. L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Homes - Fort Oglethorpe Chapel (555 W Cloud Springs Rd, Rossville, GA 30741). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Walker County Stocking Full of Love campaign.
