He was predeceased by: his parents, William Rees Bowen, Jr. and Kathryn Painter Bowen; his former wife Ann Parks Bowen; and his brother-in-law Wade St. Clair. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Brown Bowen; his children, William Rees Bowen, III (Heather), Margaret Bowen Elrod (Jeff), George Monroe Brown IV and Logan Lee Brown (Hillary); his sister Kathryn Bowen St. Clair; his niece Tiffany St. Clair; and his grandchildren, Thomas Bowen of Jack Bowen, H. R, Henry Elrod, Ann Catherine Elrod and Alice Brown.
Bill expressed his preference for no flowers for his service.
