She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifford Kirkland and Stella Kirkland; her husband Gary Hixon; her sisters, Gail Kelley, Ellie Geach and Betty Snyder; and her grandson Jake Hixon.
She is survived by: her sons, Scott Hixon (Stephanie) and Chad Hixon; and her grandchildren, Kate Hixon, Betsy Hixon, Cory Hixon and Eric Hixon. She is also survived by in-laws, as well as nieces and nephews.
