He is survived by: his wife Lynda Hicks; and his children, Mary Katherine Crawford (Robin) of Lookout Mountain, Samuel L. Hicks (Kim) of Chickamauga, Georgia, Paula Yarbrough (Bill) of Milton and Shawna Nash (Rick) of East Ridge. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
