With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard Lee Johnson of Rossville, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 4, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Johnson and Bonnie Johnson (Gee); his wife Frances Johnson (Bell); his grandchild Christain Sargent; and his siblings, Willard Johnson (Tooter), Bill Johnson, Jimmy Johnson, Phylis Fisher, MaryAn and Betty Mitchem.
He is survived by: his child Tonyia Sargent (Chris); his grandchildren, Morgan Robinson (Brandon) and Connor Sargent; his great grandchildren, Christian Marcus and Bryce Horton; and his siblings, Danny Johnson (Caroline), Jessie Johnson, Charlie Johnson, Fay Tow (Dale) and Julie Schreck (Leon).
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Heritage Funeral Home & Crematory (3239 Battlefield Pkwy, Fort Oglethorpe, GA 30742). A graveside service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Chattanooga National Cemetery (1200 Bailey Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37404).
