He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Pendley (McDonald) and Sidney Pendley; and his grandson Jordan Bethune. He is survived by: his significant other Helen Louise Darby; his children, Pamela Bethune (Ron) and Bruce Pendley (Debbie); his grandsons, Joshua Pendley (Tyndall), Joseph Pendley (Katie) and Justin Bethune; his brother Mac (Betty); and his great grandchildren, Jase Bethune, Kirklynn Bethune, Emerson Pendley, Brooks Pendley and Franklin Pendley. He is also survived by several cousins, nephews, and nieces.
