She was predeceased by: her parents, James Denny and Mattie Henderson Denny; and her siblings, Harlen Denny, Johnny Cannon, William "Bill" Cannon and Juanita Denny.
She is survived by: her husband George "Skip" Strickland; her children, Anita Bailey (Kenneth) of Lafayette and George Black of Ft. Oglethorpe; and her sister-in-law Mary Jo Nations. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
