He is survived by: his wife Arvenia Ireland; his sons, Robert P. Ireland Jr. and Stanley M. Ireland; his grandchildren, Laura Ireland Walker, Sarah Ellen Ireland, Mark Ireland, Anna Grace Ireland Sessions and Beth Ireland; and his great grandchild Boyd Ellison Walker. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
