Oscar Germany Obituary
Oscar Lee Germany, 86, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 2, 2024. He was born in Dutton, AL to parents Oscar Dean and Vonie Lee (O’Shields) Germany.
He attended and graduated from the Dutton Schools and from Auburn University. Oscar was an active member of James Street Church of God in Rossville. He enjoyed playing and attending baseball games, especially watching and cheering for the Atlanta Braves. Oscar also loved Alabama and Auburn football.
Oscar is preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Daisy Anne Germany; parents, Oscar Dean and Vonie Lee Germany; and grandson, Michael Ray Germany.
Those left to cherish his memory are his son and daughter in law, Joel (Sherry) Germany; grandchildren, Tiffani (JR) Turner and Ashley Germany; 6 great grandchildren, Brandalin (Dawson) Combs, Jessie, Jace, Gracie, Jack, and Amelia; and 1 great great grandson, Hunter Combs; one sister, Doris (Irving) Ross; several nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family members.

A chapel service will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at 12:30pm with Pastors Joel Germany and Lawrence Bradford officiating. Interment will follow at Forrest Hills Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Norman Judd, Colton Mullins, JR Turner, Jace Turner, Michael Howard and Dawson Combs.
The family will receive friends on Monday, June 10, 2024, from Noon until 7:00pm
