She was predeceased by: her husband Illuminate; her parents, Jacob Earl and Flotie Lee Douglas; and her siblings, Violet Hardesty, Louise Keeney and Jacob "Buddy" Douglas.
She is survived by: her granddaughter Channa Leighton; her children, Butch Smith (Robin), Chuck Smith Sr. (Kim) and Leesa Ross (Paul); her grandchildren, Brandy Bolton, Chuck Smith, Jr., Eric Smith and Kristina Nadrowski (Kyle); and her great grandchildren, Brianna Bolton, Andrew Sheffield, Ansley Bolton, Kenlee Leighton, Aiden Mooney, CharleeAnn Leighton, Michael Leighton and Brody Nadrowski.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers, monetary donations be sent to the church she attended, which she loved dearly--Newton Baptist Church, PO Box 814, Newton, WV 25266.
