She was predeceased by: her parents, Jeff Corum and Mae Thompson Corum; her husband James Smothers; and her sisters, Ruth (George Lewis), Helen, Maurene, Dixie and Bonnie Sue (Betty Jean).

She is survived by: her children, Carrie Smothers and Tommy Smothers (Joy Belcher); and her pet Puddin Smothers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Boynton Baptist Church.
