With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Laura Gibson (Rossville, Georgia), who passed away on February 22, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walker Key and Cordelia Key; her spouse Burtis Edward Gibson; and her siblings, Houston Key, Audie Key, Leon Key, Clinton Key, Rayford Key, Dalford Key, Novella Mitchell, Lora Knight, Christine Cantrell and Janell Key.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Andrea Malone, Deidre Thompson (Jonathan) and Jarret Gibson (Kun); her great grandchildren, Katelyn Gebelein (Ryan), Madelyn Granat (Thomas), Tayler Coleman, Ryan Gibson and Kayley Gibson; her great great grandchildren, William Gebelein and Katherine Gebelein; her son Jerome Key Gibson (Diane); her sisters, Faye Hill and Geraldine Jimerson (Glen); and her sisters-in-law, Patricia Key and Peggy Key. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Heritage Funeral Home & Crematory (3239 Battlefield Pkwy, Fort Oglethorpe, GA 30742).
