He was predeceased by: his parents, John Allen Deakins Sr. and Peggy Hall Deakins; his sister Stella Ruth Raymer; and his brother-in-law Jim Reilly. He is survived by: his wife Emily H Deakins; his daughter Isabel H Deakins; his sister Debbie Reilly; his brother-in-law Tom Raymer; his nephews, Steven Forrester (Elizabeth) and Jordan Scarborough (Amanda); his niece Katie Scarborough; and his great-nephews, Jack, Walker and Beau Forrester.
