It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James D Geyer Jr. (Rossville, Georgia), born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, who passed away on November 6, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James D. Geyer, Sr. and Kathleen Elizabeth Geyer; his brother Jerry Geyer; his aunt Chrissy Qualls; and his uncle Charlie Geyer.

He is survived by: his wife Suzy Geyer; his children, Dawn Sizemore (Jeff), Jeremy Geyer (Nikki), Dayne Geyer (Summer), Amanda Galanga (Cody) and Andrew Galanga (Donna); his grandchildren, Lauren Geyer Herrheager (Erick), Chelsey Sizemore, Andrea Durrence (Adam), Jessica Sizemore, Jered Geyer and Trey McElroy (Courtney); his great grandchildren, Kimberly Whisenant, Maggie Durrence, Ivy Durrence and Oakley McElroy; and his brother Mike Geyer (Donna). He is also survived by several cousins and many extended family.

Visitation was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Lane Funeral Home and Crematory-South Crest (833 Chickamauga Ave, Rossville, GA 30741). A graveside service was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Chattanooga National Cemetery (1200 Bailey Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37404).
