It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Howard Alvin Thomas Jr. (Rossville, Georgia), born in Cairo, Illinois, who passed away on April 13, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Alvin Thomas, Sr. and Helen Schuch Thomas; his son Tommy Maynor; and his brother Carl "Johnny" Thomas. He is survived by: his wife Glenda Thomas; his children, Luanne Kilgo (Chris) of Harrison, TN, Vanessa Myers (Andrew) of Dahlonega, GA, Rebekah Bailey (Jerron) of Calhoun, GA and Larry Maynor (Ginger) of Birmingham, AL; his sister Barbara Thomas; his sister-in-law Donna Thomas; his grandchildren, Cole, Davis Kilgo, Rae Lynn, Shelby Myers, Lyla Bailey, Luke Maynor and Becca Maynor; and his great grandchild Aliyah Ware. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
