In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Gladys leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Gladys may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Simpson Baine and Exie Roden Baine; her husband Doyle "Bud" S. Wilkinson; her sons-in-law, Pursley and Hilley; and her granddaughter Kim Sloan Holladay.
She is survived by: her children, Pat Hilley, Leesa Pursley, Dimmy Wilkinson (Kathleen) and Wilda Holladay (Dennis). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; 20 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Battlefield Baptist Church (178 S Cedar Ln, Fort Oglethorpe, GA 30742).
