She was predeceased by: her husband Claude Walston; her daughter Joyce Wingo; her granddaughter Jenny Beth Freeman; and her parents, Walter Harris and Ollie "Torbett" Harris.
She is survived by: her children, Cindy Barnes (Larry), Janet Freeman (John), Trenia Clark (Perry) and Bobby Walston (Angie); and her sister Elsie Kinley. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
In luie of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to Elizabeth Terrace Baptist Church, Faith Promise Missions.
