He was predeceased by: his father William Mattox. He is survived by: his son John Wayne Mattox, Jr.; his daughter-in-law Rev. Katie Mattox of Griffin; his grandson John Wesley Mattox; and his sister Connie Cotton of Mississippi. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, neighbors and friends.
