He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Lamar Whitehead and Eugene Jackson Whitehead; his wife Patsy Whitehead; his stepson Bobby Payton; his grandsons, Jonathan and Cody Hackney; and his brother Wayne Whitehead.
He is survived by: his daughters, Susan Nelson (Gary) of Bowdon, Julie Whitehead of Carrollton and Jamie Nash (James) of Newnan; his stepdaughter Nikki Hackney (Carl) of Franklin; and his grandchildren, Jennifer, Jason Nelson, Lorie Richardson, Emily Harris, Andrew, Kayla Smith, Aalliyah, Mariyah Sales and Troy Hackney. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and friends.
