Merritt, Jody Champion (Diane) and Robert Redmond (Starla); his grandchildren, Kelsy Champion, Kaleb Champion and Lester Merritt; his mother-in-law Lucy C. Harrison; his siblings, Larry Apodaca, Cecile Fredrickson, Patsy Hanson, Linda Milburn, Penny Leber and Judy Restani; and his pet Sarge.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Good Shepherd Funeral Home (2750 Shorter Ave, Rome, GA 30165). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
