Marye McArthur Sweitzer Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Marye McArthur Sweitzer of Rome, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 27, 2025 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel Hector McArthur and Rosalee Edwards McArthur; her husband Frederick William Sweitzer, Jr. (Bill); and her sisters, Joye Misdom of Oxon Hill and Anne Rowell of Jacksonville, Florida..
She is survived by: her children, Daniel Steven Sweitzer (Denise Powers) of Rome, David William Sweitzer (Jackie) of Rome and Rosanne Denise Sweitzer of Rome; her grandsons, Wesley William Sweitzer (Emily), Jeffrey Steven Sweitzer (Amanda), Matthew Devin Sweitzer and Andrew Kevin Sweitzer (Eve); and her great grandchildren, Benjamin William Sweitzer, Mary Helen Sweitzer, Rainey Elizabeth Sweitzer, Samuel Mark Sweitzer, Maxwell Christopher Martin Hansen, Aiden Mateo Sweitzer and Mason William Sweitzer.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Westminster Presbyterian Church (1941 Shorter Ave, Rome, GA 30165). A memorial service was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Westminster Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund, 1941 Shorter Avenue, Rome, GA 30165.
