She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Horace Mitchell Tierce and Maude Bell Hayes Tierce; her husband Gordon Lee Maxwell; her grandchild Micah Dempsey; her siblings, Marshall, Lindsey, Mitchell Tierce and Melva Shell; her nephew Manuel Tierce; her sisters-in-law, Pauline and Louise Tierce; her daughter Deborah Darlene Sturges (Jimmy); her grandchildren, Summer Dempsey, Allison Dempsey, Jason Sturges and Teresa Shelander; her great grandchild Aaliyah Dempsey; her nieces and nephews, Charlotte Barnwell, Mitchel Shell, Ava Kay Rainy, Lavon Bates, Shanetta Bolin and Pat Davis; and her friend Margie Shiflett.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Good Shepherd Funeral Home (2750 Shorter Ave, Rome, GA 30165). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
