The passing of Jimmy Daril Young of Rome, Georgia, born in Cartersville, Georgia leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on April 23, 2025 at the age of 82. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Young and Lucille Young; his wife Charlene Phillips Young; his daughter Shelia Conaway; and his siblings, Glenise Floyd, Janie Crosby and R. L. Young.
He is survived by: his children, Daril Young, Nancy Massingill (Jerry), Brian Young (Tracie), Robert Dake, Lamar Alexander and Anthony Alexander; and his brother Bobby Joe Young (Joan). He is also survived by loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Salmon Funeral Home (2516 New Calhoun Hwy NE, Rome, GA 30161). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that memorial donations be made to The Rome Shriners or The Coosa Masonic Lodge #622 F&AM in loving memory of Jimmy.
