Mixon; her siblings, Arthur Spies (Mary Jane) of Ankeny, IA, Harold W. Spies Jr. of Beaumont, TX and Susan Reinhart (Roger) of Fargo, ND; and her brother-in-law Joseph C. Davis (Susan) of Powder Springs, GA. She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Lustgarten Foundation: Pancreatic Cancer Research or the American Cancer Society for the advancement of Pancreatic Cancer Research.
