He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Tyler and Nina Tyler; his wife Virginia Tyler; and his siblings, Hollis Tyler, Marvin Tyler, Nancell Tyler, Sue Tanner Evette and Celia Puckett.
He is survived by: his children, Tony Tyler, David Tyler (Lisa), Pam Tyler Shepard (Belton) and Mitzi Tyler Jeter (George); and his grandchildren, Rhiannon Nicholson, Julia Harris, Beth Guice, Michelle Lane, Melissa Hammock, David Tyler, Jr. and Amy Tyler.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Good Shepherd Funeral Home (2750 Shorter Ave, Rome, GA 30165). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
