He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert L. Gibson, Sr. and Kathryn Gladden Gibson; his wife Carol Gibson; and his brother Ben Gibson. He is survived by: his children, Amanda Gilbert (Daniel) of Rome, GA and David Lee Gibson (Miranda) of Rome, GA; his stepson Travis Adams of Marietta, GA.; his siblings, Gary Gibson, Sheryl Gibson Knight (Carl), Sherry Gibson Dempsey (Jason) and Rita Gibson Hardinger; his grandchildren, David, Courtney, Kenneth and Shyanna; and his pet C. J.. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
The family will accept flowers or respectfully asks that donations be made to Floyd County P.A.W.S. in loving memory of Herbert as it was a charity near and dear to his heart.
