We are sad to announce that on September 29, 2024 we had to say goodbye to Fred Stover of Rome, Georgia, born in Ellijay, Georgia. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of Fred Stover to show support.

As Fred departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Fred may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Fred leaves behind.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Tasker Stover and Flora Ida Holt Stover; and his sisters, Lois Willerson, Peggy Paris, Bonnie Ellis, Elsie Hardin and Rommie Rittenhouse.

He is survived by: his siblings, Jack Stover (Elaine Lavon) of Kingston, Faye Paris of Kingston and Jane Atchley (Dewey) of Kingston. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jim wrote a sympathy message

“So very sorry to learn of Fred's passing. He has been our next door neighbor in Atlanta for over a quarter century. He was always pleasant, positive, friendly, and conscientious about home and yard maintenance. He tolerated -- and actually seemed to enjoy -- our rambunctious dogs who greeted him every time he was outside. He looked out for our home whenever we were out of town. Most of the time he could be heard singing as he went about his business. He was a great neighbor and friend.”
