He was predeceased by: his mother Susanne Demarest Smith. He is survived by: his wife Katherine Smith; his sons, Jed Smith, Gary Flacksenburg and Jeremy Flacksenburg; and his grandchildren, Lucas, Makayla, Liliana, Dilynne, Demarest Devynne and Marcus.
The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, North Chapel, on Friday from 3:00 pm until the service hour with social distancing guidelines being followed.
