He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Puckett and William David Smith. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Smith; his children, Stacey Annette Cope and Kevin Smith; his grandchildren, Jessica Turner (Matt), Cody Keck (Katlyn), Rustun Lusk, Hannah Hunt (Daniel), Lillian Smith and Connor Smith; and his siblings, James Smith (Carol), Kendall Smith (Marlys), Donnie Smith (Sheila), Lawrence Smith (Helen), Joan Hardin, Kathy Jones (David), Brenda Walls and Blanche Jett.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Burt Chapel-Fort Payne (2100 Gault Ave N, Fort Payne, AL 35967). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Burt Chapel-Fort Payne Funeral Time (2100 Gault Ave N, Fort Payne, AL 35967).
