He was predeceased by: his parents, Lavis Cleon "Lou" York and Maggie Irene Key York; and his son Gary Tyler "Ty York. He is survived by: his wife Teresa Hamilton York; his granddaughter Clara York; his daughter-in-law Alice Mathis Stephens; his brother-in-law Mike Hamilton (Sue Hamilton); his mother-in-law Clara Corine Hamilton; his nieces, Leigh Gregory (Sean), Krige and Caron Schabort; his great-nephews, Daniel and Simon; and his great-niece Sarah. He is also survived by cousins and other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, Teresa requests memorial contributions be made to Model High School Baseball program, 3252 Calhoun Road, Rome, GA, 30161, in honor of Coach Gary York.
