He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Marcus "Buddy" Edwards and Frances Edwards; his son Chad Edwards; and his sisters, Cathy Edwards and Linda Jackson.

He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Jann McClendon Edwards; his son Mark Edwards (Whitney); his grandchildren, Will Edwards, Jillian Edwards, Katelyn Edwards, Madison Edwards, Mackenzie Edwards, Emma Edwards and Ian Edwards; and his siblings, Mary Furnace and Gary Edwards. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
