He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur C. Tate and Essie Mae Tate; his siblings, Janet Waters and Donald Tate; and his brother-in-law Bill Waters.
He is survived by: his friend Doris Little of Canton, GA.; his wife Doris Little Tate; his children, Mark Dennis Tate (Melanie) of Rome, GA and Sylvia Tate Chesser (Jay) of Rome, GA; his granddaughter Jazzmine Loreto; his nephew Eric Waters (Kathy); and his nieces, Jean Evans, Bonnie Medford, Janet Bobeng (Greg) and Denise Huntley. He is also survived by other nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, Oaknoll Chapel (2542 Shorter Ave, Rome, GA 30165). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the same location.
