She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Marshall Ralston and Maude Patterson Ralston; her former husband John Mandragouras; her son William "Dwight" Payne; her brother Ronald "Ron" Ralston; and her husband William H. Payne.
She is survived by: her children, Charlene Payne Hendrix and Rodney Payne; her daughter-in-law Janice Payne; her grandchildren, Rebecca Hendrix Owen (Eric), Matthew Payne, Rachel Hendrix Willis, Patrick Collum (Joey), Amelia Payne, Emmaline Payne and Addison Payne; her great grandchildren, Jacob Willis, Madilynn Owen, Harper Collum, Elliot Collum and Addison Barnes; her siblings, Howard Ralston (Margaret) and Barbara (Franklin); and her sister-in-law Susan Ralston. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID-19, the family will hold a private graveside service Wednesday, September 8, 2021, with plans of a Celebration of Betty's life at later time.
