He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Haney and Bertha Dotson Haney; his wife Myrtle Wilbanks Haney; and his siblings, Roy Haney, Frank Haney, Jr., Linda Arlene Haney, Ralph Haney, Larry Haney and Jackie Dotson.
He is survived by: his child Arlie William Haney, Jr. (Rosemary); his grandsons, Sterling Haney (Jen) and Shane Haney (Trina); his daughters, Nancy Ann Fowler (Randy) and Frances Jergens (Doug Cadle); his sisters, Jeanette Haney and Glennis Elliott (Stephen); his granddaughter Kelly Fowler (Becky); his great grandchild Kacey Fowler (Haley); his close friend Paulette Blankenship; and also Kaiden Fowler. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the South Chapel (3002 Maple Rd SE, Rome, GA 30161). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
