He was predeceased by: his parents, Dan Lumpkin and Clara Mae Bigham Lumpkin; his wife Betty Jewel Duke Lumpkin; his son-in-law Kenneth Wayne Beard; and his brother John David Lumpkin.
He is survived by: his daughter Jackie Beard-Ullery (Marion); his grandson Jaxson Wayne Beard; his stepgrandchildren, Chris Ullery (Kera) and Christin Kazel (Michael); his stepgreat-grandchildren, Cameron Ullery, Kadence Ullery, Madison Harris, Calob Ullery, Miley Welborn and Judah Ullery; his siblings, Bill Lumpkin, Jim Lumpkin and Edna Berry; and his close friends, George and Linda Vinzant. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 16th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Floyd Springs Baptist Church (1869 Floyd Springs Rd NE, Armuchee, GA 30105).
