He was predeceased by: his parents, Jimmy Nix and Lola Odell "Padgett" Hudgins; and his siblings, Jimmy Wayne Hudgins (Phyllis), Amy Marie Hudgins and Larissa Odell Hudgins.
He is survived by: his siblings, Frank Hudgins (Pat), Lee Hudgins (Betty) and Ada Hudgins (Shane Cook). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
